The Benefits of Scouting

Outdoors
Community Service
The benefits of knowing the outdoors go beyond the physical benefits of exercise and fresh air. Outdoor activities also promote personal growth, character development, and social skills. By spending time in nature, our scouts learn to work together, communicate effectively, and develop independence. In Troop 88, we provide opportunities for all our scouts to experience these benefits through our engaging outdoor experiences.
Troop 88 believes that community service is a vital part of out scouts upbringing. It teaches them the importance of giving back, helps them develop empathy, and instills a sense of accountability. We are dedicated to providing our members with opportunities to serve our community and make a positive impact on those around them.

Leadership
In Troop 88, we believe that learning the skill of leadership early is paramount in helping our scouts succeed in life. Our leadership opportunities offer hands-on experiences that give our scouts the chance to take on roles of responsibility and showcase their leadership skills in a supportive environment.
